“We love these. They are a real treat. Take a bit of preparation to rid them of all bones but once you realise what to do - it's worth the work!! Lovely level of smoke far more subtle than a kipper. They need plenty of butter but make a substantial brunch dish with poached eggs!”

“The delivery service was very good, but the Smokies weren't that good, i was in Arbroath two months ago and had fresh Smokies, when thawed yours were very bland in taste in comparison. Last year i was in Whitby and bought frozen Smokies, when thawed they had more flavour than yours as well. My other observation would be that the two and a half Smokies were frozen together, so they had to be thawed all together, which isn't really cost effective. Regards Simon Hall”

We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our Arbroath Smokies Simon. They are from a leading producer from major dynasties. If you do decide to give them another try and find they are frozen together then all you need to do is defrost them for 15 minutes or so and then separate the amount you need. The rest can then go back in to the freezer.
