“I've not eaten them yet, but they were fine the last time. They make a nice change, though I am not a total fan of smoked fish. Kippers were lovely when we were kids, but somehow these days they're just a tiny bit less ... interesting. But - as with cheddar like it used to come from the grocers back in the 1960s - perodically one comes back to see if the fish (or is it the taste buds?) have recovered a little bit of their former subtlety.”
