“I had never bought from The Fish Society before so I was a little anxious and spent some time reading other people's reviews, but in the end I thought it looked good and I bought the fish. It arrived exactly on time, beautifully packaged and in excellent condition. My fish was size large and weighed 2.8kg - what I didn't know was how big it was ie how long, wide and deep. When it arrived, I measured it and it was (with head and tail) just over 70cm long and 10cm deep. Well, 70cm long was too long for both my freezer and my oven!! So it had to be stored temporarily in a neighbour's chest freezer and, once defrosted, in her oven! It was delicious. It fed comfortably 14 for lunch with plenty for seconds and some for another meal for us as well.”

“We allowed two days for it to defrost. It was very nice but didn't knock us over completely. To cook it I cut into three to roast in the same dish.”
