They look good. Past experience suggests they will taste good and do me good too, as long as I don't get carried away with the accompanying carbs

I was initially looking for fat plaice to cook Tom Kerridge's Plaice in Red Wine - however there was none of a suitable size available. Researching the website - and deciding that Brill was just too expensive - I discovered Kingklip which looked to be an admirable substitute for the plaice. It looked good when it arrive and when cooked, it retained its shape. It has a meaty texture and a pleasant flavour and I definitely would buy it again. The Fish Society is a brilliant source of excellent fish.

Kingklip bullets are simple to prepare and luxurious to consume. I am always glad to find them in stock when we are making up our order

Still frozen on arrival and well packed. Kingklip is a beautiful fish to eat, lightly salted and fried in butter with a squeeze of lemon on serving. I am more used to South African kingklip but New Zealand kingklip is just as good.

Having learned to treasure Kingklip first in South Africa, then finding a new source in Germany we used to have lovely meals with family and friends. The Bullets mean that we can be sure that not only does it cook well in the kitchen, but also when we use the BBQ the cut almost ensures perfect results

I was first introduced to native Kingklip in South Africa, and after my move to the UK, for years I was able to source it from either fish mongers here or in Stuttgart. The Kingklip we get is not only every bit as good as the pure stock, being able to select bullet steaks is absolutely divine
