I am VERY disappointed with the turbot fillets delivered at a price of £39.20. They are no way near the photo of chunky fish steak on the website. They were both very thin and from the tail. I attached a photo on my email to you last Thursday I think the photo on the website is misleading because it is next to the price of £39.20, however when you go to buy, this price is actually for a small portion which is not the photo (I assume it is a large portion of higher cost). You should label the photo with the size of portion and provide photos of all three sizes which are all clearly marked. I phoned on Tuesday after delivery about 5pm and spoke for about half an hour on the phone. The gentleman went away and got back to me later but no offer of any price reduction, apology was made. I asked for some compensation and he said he couldn’t offer any but would speak to a manager. I have not heard anything back since which I find unacceptable. I also sent an email last week with this feedback which also received no reply. I also questioned on the phone, the price of whole turbot being less than twice the price of the two fillets bought. He went away (he was very polite and admitted that he was learning on this) to ask his manager and was advised to tell us that only 15% yield comes from turbot, which would mean that you only get 225g from your 1.5kg whole turbot. I find this very difficult to believe. It would mean our fillets would have had to have come from a huge weight of whole turbot which you clearly don’t sell. This is no way mentioned on the website for people considering buying a whole turbot which seems much better value for money He also mentioned that the turbot we had bought was bought by you some 2 month ago and that turbot had halved in price since then which is not explained anywhere. I find it all very misleading. Please can you respond as I’m sure other potential customers will be reading this feedback very soon when I post my experience online. I would hope that you use this email also to positive effect to improve wording and pictures on your internet site for future customers. Regards Steve Reeve
