Gorgeous rollmops - SO much nicer even than the ones you get at IKEA

These were sent as part of a fishy Christmas gift to an elderly relative. They arrived in good time and were much enjoyed. They were apparently "enormous" and "big enough for 3 lunches". A definite hit and a great idea for a Christmas present that will actually be used and enjoyed.

Delicious, not too sour and not sweet, unlike so many brands.

The ones I already ate were delicious. Howeverr, thre of the little tubs had a three-week sell-by date which is on the short side whereas the others were (it said on the tub) all good for 7 or 8 weeks. 7 of 8 weeks is fine, but it meant needing to stack and sequence the shelf in the fridge rather carefully. Also, some of the tubs had leaked so everything in your parcel was sticky. From TWO of your "U"K competitors I have already received mail-order herrings in broken tubs or jars so I understand that for English (and it seems Scots) packaging and shipping herrings is a particularly daunting challenge. (Online food parcels from Netherlands, Germany and Italy are, at least by Brit standards, carefully and thickly packaged and insulated against knocks to witin an inch of everyone's life, but of course that is EVEN more expenssive than buying stuff from ... you, for instance, within our own shared island!) Anyhow, at least within the UK you are the least bad I've come across in terms of packaging herrings, and the qualityof the product itself is, as far as I can tell, good. So I'm a happy customer on balance but not overwhelmingly so. Success. Be well. Charles
