“These clams were absolutely enormous and totally unsuitable for the spaghetti alle vongole for which they were intended and for which was written on the packing labels they arrived in. If the website had given an indication that each clam was between 5-7cm in diameter I would never have made the purchase. I also had real issues with the shells which were fragile and flaky deteriorating turning the sauce into a shell, ridden tasteless mess. I had to resort to trying to extract the flesh from the shells halfway through cooking but quite honestly it was hardly worth the investment - the clams were of poor taste. A very expensive and embarrassing Christmas mistake.”
