“One of the very few times I've been disappointed with a Fish Society purchase. Lobster content seemed minimal. Tasted more like a tomato soup than a lobster bisque.”

“I was really looking forward to this but unfortunately I found it to taste more of a tomato soup rather than a lobster bisque. I have had lobster bisque many times before so know what to expect but this just was disappointing and expensive for what it was.”

“Good morning Alastair We were very impressed by both the skate cheeks and monkfish livers. The lobster bisque was most disappointing. Lacked depth, too much tomato and herb seasoning for a delicate soup that should be more lobster flavour and richer in flavour. To be honest we find Baxter’s preferable at a much reduced cost. Perard’s soupe de poisson has a much more deeper flavour of the boiled and reduced shell taste. Hope this is constructive. Best wishes Paul”

Hi Paul THanks for your thoughtful feedback. It prompted us to review our bisque against some others via a tasting session. We concluded that you are right: the tomato drowns out the lobster. We'll be having another go. I guess this is going to take us about three months. Watch this space.
