A long time since this Kent boy enjoyed this delicacy. Now living in the west country, a taste I love. Slight delivery problem though, but the service was great.

Very tasty and fresh, one pack was spoilt as it contained half a dozen small fish.

Love these. In France, they are called crevettes grises and are served with your apero. Makes le think of French holidays even when the weather here is cold.

Again wishing to relive my childhood in the 1940s/50s I remember my father buying pints of shrimps. When very young and eating them at home my father would remove the head tail and shell for me. Later he taught me to eat shrimps by holding them holding them in an upside down U shape and taking a bite of the exposed part (the body) leaving the tail, head and legs pinched between my thumb and forefinger. The shell added a small crunch to the delicious meat. I tried that method with these shrimps but the shell consistency was not the same leaving in my mouth inedible shell which had crushed the meat into mush. I reverted to shelling them and enjoyed the meat. Perhaps shrimp from the Maplin Sands were unique.
