“I was very pleased with the battered prawns. While they are better than any other frozen battered fish I have bought, the batter isn't as crisp as fresh cooked batter, but perhaps I'm expecting too much..I will certainly be ordering some more when I'm ready. Thank you”

“The scampi was very nice but it’s so expensive compared to the breaded scampi because of this I don,t know whether I would order it again. Plus you have the £10 delivery fee as well.”

“Not impressed with this battered variety. The last consignment in particular, was extensively batter, with little evidence of the promised 'whole scampi tails'. I am increasingly disillusioned by the frozen scampi market in general, with the consumer paying a disproportionate amount for fillings and receiving certainly less than 50% scampi. Shall not be buying again.”

Hello Doug I am sorry you were disappointed. I agree that coated scampi in general is a minefield. We negotiate this area very carefully and we thought this product very good when we assessed it before launch. Still do. We have had many compliments for it and repeat sales are excellent. Of course, it is always possible with his kind of item that you got an batch with more batter than usual... Anyway, I have put a credit on your account which you can spend on anything you like but if you did spend it on another sample of this scampi, I am sure you would get a lighter coating.
