Much better than "shop" bought scampi - full of flavour with lots of fish

It is a long time since I was able to sample Battered Scampi as an alternative to the more widely available Breaded variety and remember the taste to be subtlety different. It was on a hotel restaurant menu and the chef concerned had prepared it in a lovely light and crispy batter which very much added to the appeal and ensured the meal was delicious. I have on numerous occasions since looked for the battered variety with no success until coming across 'The Fish Society' who offer their clientele Battered Scampi! The next decision to face was over the quantity to purchase (250g vs 1 KG) and with the larger 1 KG size clearly offering a better value it seemed the right choice. My order was received promptly with all of the contents still perfectly frozen thanks to the superb packaging and bags of dry ice. Whilst I am yet to sample/review the various other items in the order, I was keen to try out the Battered Scampi. I was not disappointed, the artisan producer from Northern Ireland is indeed "a real craftsman" who certainly produces the "very light batter" advertised on the website. Cooked as instructed from frozen the Battered Scampi was every bit as delicious as the restaurant meal which got me hooked in the first place, so full marks to the chef and I would (and already have) recommend(ed) to others ...sadly giving up the product catalogue which came with my order to do so!
