“I was not sent your usual scampi in clear bags but instead was sent bags of Whitby Scampi, which I could have bought for less than half your reduced price from Ocado. Whitby scampi does not have good reviews which is why I choose not to buy it. I left a review on your website several days ago which I notice is not there - how many other poor reviews do you omit?”

WE are sorry we have crated so much confusion. Everybody thinks there is just one kind of Whitby Scampi. Please be aware that Whitby produces many different grades of scampi. The one we sell is the best and most expensive and so far as we can see is not available in any high street supermarkets (although a different item with a nearly identical pack is). THis is a revision of our original reply after the buying department caught up with the customer contact department.

Good morning Unfortunately we are simply unable to compete with supermarkets on price as we just don't have the buying power. Although the packaging of the scampi was different on this occasion, it is, in fact the same product. We tried to call you but there was no reply. Kind regards The Fish Society
