“3 of the four lobsters I purchased were full of eggs when I opened them. Although this did not affect the taste it is always disappointing to find seafood has been caught during the egg laying season.”

There are rules about catching lobsters during the breeding season but lobsters sometimes breed outside the season. The New England lobster fishery is fantastic example of sustainable fishing.

“First time cooking lobster dish (Lobster Thermidor), because the lobster is already cooked so it made the cooking super easy, just defrost, put some sauce and pop into the oven. The lobster itself is very tasty and meaty, will definitely buying again from Fish Society.”
