“3 of the four lobsters I purchased were full of eggs when I opened them. Although this did not affect the taste it is always disappointing to find seafood has been caught during the egg laying season.”

There are rules about catching lobsters during the breeding season but lobsters sometimes breed outside the season. The New England lobster fishery is fantastic example of sustainable fishing.
