as spectacular to the eye as to the tastebuds and a good texture. If you are planning a mixed spread do not serve this alongside the smoked cod's liver. js

I used to scour the internet, supermarkets on the Continent even Fortnum & Masons (years ago) to get hold of cod liver/smoked cod liver in tins. I still love Cod liver but I have to say Monkfish liver does it for me now! The lower proportion of oil means more liver content and I like the vivid orange colour. Great on Peter's Yard little crispbreads, a squeeze of lemon, gone...!
