“I’ve been looking for a good pair of waterproof over trousers for a while , I’ve had a few different pairs and were in the ok bracket , but I must say the arcteryx are the best I’ve had , yes they do the job well and keep you dry , and yes very wind proof as I found out in the black mountains , one thing I did notice , they breath better than others I’ve had , not one bit of sweating , I know they cost a bit more but I would say they are worth it if you love the mountains like I do , I will say I’m a very picky person and I want value for money yes 10 out of 10 for arcteryx beta pants , oh and another thing ! The fit is really good , not all baggy as others I have owned and so easy to get on when the rain starts , mike howard avid mountain hiker bristol”

“The trousers are great however they are not from this season as I already have a pair and needed a spare. The buttons are different and the material and fit slightly different and in my view, this season's version is certainly more comfortable and has more stretch although these look like they might be sturdier. I will know more once they are put to use. It would however be advisable if this was communicated in advance.”
