“Being new to motorcycling I was excited to be given my first motorcycle and wanted to insure it against theft whilst I arranged to complete my CBT before going on the road.
I insured it through your site with Bennetts, who contacted me a week later stating they were awaiting my CBT certificate. I rang and explained I had booked a course in May and they cancelled my policy!
Nowhere on your site did it state I needed a CBT certificate before I took out insurance and Bennetts charged me £30 cancellation fee!!”
“I chose to change to Bennetts. The online part was ok. However, sending proof of NCD was bad. Sent it via my ipad. A few days later, i received a letter from them stating they had not rec'd it, and would possibly cancel the insurance. Phoned them, and after approx 15 mins in the "queue" was told they had rec'd it but could not read it. So i then scanned it on my scanner and sent it via my computer. Seven days later, i get another letter cancelling the insurance as they still had not rec'd it. Phoned them again, and after another 20 mins in the "Queue", was told they had now processed it and the insurance was now not cancelled. Too much stress and hassle to save a few quid.”
