“I had a terrible experience with Bikesure insurance. I took out insurance for a new Moped and for personal reasons was forced to sell the bike and cancel the insurance within 3 days, never having ridden the bike. I was forced by Bikesure to pay a cancellation fee that cost me £75 to be insured for less than a week. Daylight robbery. When I asked for some leniency I was told that if I didn't pay the cancellation charge, the company would take me to court. I have had a terrible experience with this company and WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone.”
“I started my insurance with Bikesure a few months back, the payments are made monthly and are so far a fixed rate. the only problem I have so far is that the direct debit is supposed to be taken on the 17th of every month. Only the first payment was taken on the date specified. Now since then, the money has been taken on different days, such as the 12th, 10th, and 14th etc. Now it's lucky that I had the money in the account otherwise I would have been charged for missing a payment. This is not right. I can understand if the payments were to fall on say a Sunday or Saturday. Not when its due on say a Tuesday. I find this highly irritating as were the money not in the account then I would be charged an excessive fee for missing a payment. It seems like the company are trying to take the payments early. Also, I have not been sent a payment schedule, nor any other information. Only the insurance document, That's it. Nothing else.. The service is good but there are, what I perceive as underhand tactics. This makes it look as if they are trying to get extra money from me regarding not having the funds according to the payment schedule. More than that? The fact that they are doing this and even though it would not be me at fault, I would have to pay for it. That is the only problem I have with Bikesure.”
“BEWARE !!! I cancelled the policy after 10 days as I sold the bike. I was told I was only due back £11. from the £190. I paid up front for 12 months cover, nowhere in the literature did it say I could be out of pocket to this tune. (Alternatively I could have 4 days to buy another bike and pay £50. to transfer cover)....How generous......NOT. It may be cheep and it would be unfare to comment on a likely claim response but, all I am saying is; be fair to bikers. Customers beware, ask the questions & check out the small print.”
“The policy was just what I was looking for, however after agreeing and paying using the online service, I received an email asking me to call or the policy would be cancelled. I then had to go over everything again over the phone which I'd already done on line. Also the woman I spoke to was a bit snotty.”
