“I have found the customer service treatment appalling , in order to cancel a policy after six weeks due to selling the vehicle I had to pay £120 just to cancel the policy .
I have only renewed my motorcycle insurance with this company purely on price ,NOT LOYALTY !!! .
Having not received any documents ( e mail or paper ) after taking the policy out 2 months earlier I rang them and was told they would be emailed with 24 hrs , 2 days later I rang them again after not recieving anything and was told they could take a couple of days to come through but was told they would be resent , strangely they were received via email whilst still on the phone !
I was a very happy Hastings customer for many years but would not recommend them to friends or colleges due to the unhelpful approach incident I received from them when I cancelled my policy .
Make no mistake , this is not a friendly family company you can talk to , this is a company who relieves and trade on profit and I felt put customer service second .
This is my own personal opinion and am happy to keep my thoughts and views to myself but if I get sent an email asking to give my honest views then here it is .”
