“Be very careful when you buy insurance from these guys. I took out motorbike insurance in May at a cost of £80. My motorbike siezed and was uneconomical to repair so I scrapped it at the end of June. When I phoned to cancel the insurance I was told it would cost me a further £50. No recompense for the 10 months of insurance I wasn't using. Also their quote to transfer to another bike was £130 more than I got it with Bennetts.
Not happy at all.”
“Took out the policy the night before my old one was due to start, the next morning I realised that I had not included commuting to and from work. I immediately called the company to rectify this but was told by the mean spirited call taker that it would cost me a further £30.00 to alter this despite the policy having not begun. I have since had to pay the money but due to this I would not use the service again.”
“There are two big problems with this insurance. Firstly I was sent a number of automatically generated quotes. These were based on wrong information provided by the web site, but this wasn't shown at the time. The original premium was about the same as I've paid every year. The cost of the adjustment to go from 3 years no claims to 2 year was almost double the original premium. This was A CLEVERLY CONSTRUCTED FRAUD.
The standard letter they kept sending me said to provide proof of no claims. They had received proof but it was the wrong period, but they kept sending the standard letters that did not explain the problem.”
“Shocking customer service. They ask you for documents to be sent to one department, then you get contact from another department saying you haven't supplied the information requested. Clearly a lack of communication between departments. Would not recommend.”
“Hopefully I will never need to makeba claim, like most people I suppose we justneed to be legal and feel we are dealing with a large enough company to feel cconfident.i”
“The people were most unhelpful. I couldn't send proof of no claims through the designated portal and even after emailing the proof I was still faced with threats to cancel my new policy because their computer system can't read all forms of electronic documents and so I was deemed not to have sent it. After talking to members of staff I was becoming bewildered by their lack of cooperation. In the end it turned out that while I was providing proof of no claims the post office only accept one type of evidence, I only found this out after asking to speak to a supervisor who seemed unable to make decisions or be of help. I asked to cancel the policy but was told I would be charged to cancel it even though it wasn't up and running. I resolved it by going back to my previous insurer for yet more evidence of my no claims which they provided promptly. Wont use the post office again and would sell my bike if this was the only insurer available.”
“I was insured with Bikesure who were good value and gave good cover then I received my renewal notice from which I believed to be Bikesure so I renewed my policy turns out that it was not Bikesure so be careful when you get your renewal notice”
