“It has been the worst experience i have ever had. I was sold a policy that did not suit me at all and ended up loosing all my money, thanks to bad advice all the way though. As a new learner driver for motorcycles, new in London and my MC being a commercial one I really thought the person knew what they were doing, i was asked if i had NCB from Sweden and i explained i had no claims since 1992 for any of my cars, i had never owned a motorbike there and told hin that, he just asked me if i could ring them and ask them to provide proof, i said i would and he proceeded selling the insurance to me... In the end RAC told me a. They don't accept NCB from Sweden, i lost everything because of bad bad advice. I am going to tell the world about it and compiling the evidence for trustpilot.”
“There seems there may be a problem when transferring my driving licence details from your compare site to the RAC site. (??) I have grandfather rights for a provisional bike licence.
After downloading reams of conditions from RAC (accessible only through their website) regarding the policy, some male clerk at RAC emailed me for my no-claims record when I had none, then got a little curt when I pointed it this out to him.
He then emailed asking for my driving licence photocopies. Which I sent them and went missing. Then he asked me for an access code to check my licence at DVLA. By this time I was questioning him on the competence of his firm.
Then he emailed I would have to pay £70 more as my provisional licence date was different to stated - as if that makes any difference whether it is 47 years ago or 10 years ago - I still do not know where he got the date he referred to and do not believe him. Of course by this time he was getting both barrels from me for the dribbling way he asked for info. So he retaliated by asking for my second driver's licence photocopy and also his DVLA access code. I got it all sorted though a female clerk on phone but incidentally she seemed to believe that I had no Provisional because I had no CBT - but these are separate documents. All good now.”
“I wonder if there is any law for these insurance companies.
I possess 3 years NCB, even then I was made to pay extra amount.
Now a special tool the companies are using to grab more money by using the umbrella of law. They ask for Volunteer Access Money but don't tell the customer and compulsory access money. Hence they can very easily put a burden of hundreds of pounds on customer.
Let me say they are not providing services rather they are taking a big toll from the customers.”
