“I got charged 20 pounds for an admin fee which consisted of one email I was threatened with having my insurance cancelled not my fault there mistake it was too expensive to cancel I won't use them again”
“Well, where do i start?..
i've had 2 accidents & a theft of my motorcycle - all of which have been deemed i was NOT at fault. - I chose RAC, & from the get go they immediately assumed these accidents were my fault. Revoking my no claims bonus & then further going on to cancel my policy due to me apparently not giving them enough information. Bare in mind i had been totally honest about these accidents, the theft i actually did not make a claim but RAC told me that i infact made a claim for my motorbike being stolen... anyone with brains will know when i say that if i had made a claim, i wouldnt still have my motorbike.. as the insurance take your vehicle away for 'investigation' once you make ANY claim. But i had not made a claim & had recovered my motorbike back from the police myself when it was found. At a huge cost to myself i might add.
RAC went on to tell me they would cancel my insurance but the joke is actually on them, because i had proof from my solicitors that the 2 accidents i had were actually settled in my favour. - i went back to my previous insurers & ended up with getting my 3 years no claims bonus back & premiums dropped massively!
So... a word to the wise, honesty isn't always the best policy when it comes to insurers, choose wisely what information you share with them, even if you think you're just being upfront and 'honest' about any incidents - what they don't know won't hurt them. & what you think they may necessarily 'need to know' may actually be incorrect as i learnt the hard way.
But in the end everything worked out & i came out on top!
Rac - 0
Me - 1!
Happy insuring!!”
