“I used bike insurer to compare prices and took the cheapest price. Unfortunate motorcycle direct have cancelled my insurance after requesting a mile of documentation, including a NCD certificate that i had been chasing from a previous insurer. I explained to the sales person who said they could confirm if i had the policy details etc. i eventually forced my insurer (MCE would not even answer the phone) to email me the certificate of NCD and I sent it by email and post within the specified 7 days. Motorcycle direct stll cancelled my insurance with no refund. I am now having to pay £12.60 a day across the Severn bridge and cannot ride my bike until the ombudsman sorts this out.
The web site should put the satisfaction levels of these companies so that genuine good motorists can avoid this level of negligence. God knows what would of happened if i ever had to claim?
Motorcycle direct still havent redponded to my formal complaint 2 weeks later.
Also the web site should do a ring of each site and get an average phone pick up time- mine was 14.5 mintues but some were 74 minutes plus !!!!”
