“Standard service but took about 30 mins to go through all the questions and they couldn't sell me the cheapest policy because it was being offered somewhere else by some parent underwriter? Only at the end when summarising the T&Cs did the representative slip in that the bike had to be garaged if within 500m of my home (ruling out quick trips to the local shops) and that I was not insured to carry a pillion. I have only once carried a pillion so it's not a problem but I don't see why such a restriction is in place. No option was given me of having a quote without this and I resent insurance companies restricting legal use of a vehicle because it suits them and not the customer.”
