“I’m enjoying. My only reason to give 4 star is that not everything has transcription /subtitles because I often have to study without sound”

“I gave two stars because I think the course is presented in an extremely boring way. Furthermore, I don’t feel like this course will help the grammar rules to “stick” with me to help me teach it. Currently, I am up to the “US Methodology Course”. This offer mainly has consisted of watching videos of the two teaching strategies and the structure/order of each. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to distinguish one part of the lesson from the next (as we are supposed to do for the quiz). All the video clips seem to be showing examples of the teacher giving and facilitating an assignment (either “Practice” or “Production”) even though there is also a “Lead-In” part and a “Presentation” part in the beginning of the lesson style. I got most of my guesses wrong for what each clip was trying to show (one of the four parts of the lesson). Could it have been my lack of understanding or misinterpretation of the parts of the lesson? Maybe. But I think it was more of a lack of distinction in the examples that were video taped.”

“One and a half modules in and so far so good. Instruction is succinct. Content is rich with plenty of sample lessons to demonstrate application. Short units packed with relevant information and appropriately pitched quizzes that help to reinforce the learning and provide a means to assess one's progress. Module 2, Phonology Unit, could be clearer if a distinction was made between letter names and letter sounds. Submitted assignments are marked quickly and the tutor's feedback is supportive with plenty of helpful hints and tips.”
