“Fitted 2 Polk V60 ceiling speakers to upgrade my 5.1 system to 5.1.2 for Dolby Atmos. To comply needed 2 Fire speaker hoods and after looking at various one's available chose the Firetopper Pro. It is not only a fire hood but also reduces acoustic sound from the room above. They have a sown in collar that surrounds the speaker and ceiling opening which the speaker clamps then keep in place. The other types of hoods are secured by metal brackets or adhesive.”
“Needed some firehoods for my Monitor audio ceiling speakers. Did some research and found that Firetopper were highly rated and compliant. They were a great price from Tech 4 Homes and delivered very quickly with good updates on status. Fitting them was very easy as my speakers were 6” so no need for trimming. Instructions provided were not really needed as it is obvious what was required. One thing to note is ensure there is adequate speaker cable as the hood will require it to be slighly longer. On the whole I did them in an afternoon, including cleanup. Very happy with the result.”
