“The Pro-Ject Speaker Box 3E Carbon are an absolutely stunning pair of compact bookshelf speakers that are incredible in a near-field setup for my desktop computer. Fantastic range, very flat and neutral sounding, with a solid amount of very tight bass for such a small set of monitors. They feel extremely well built and high quality, and also look fantastic - both with or without the supplied magnetic grills attached. The matt black finish is lovely and the carbon fibre glass on the bass/mid gives a really high end look and feel. I'm currently running them without the grills attached sat on top of a set of titled speaker stands. My set are powered by an S.M.S.L DA-1 amplifier paired with an S.M.S.L SU-1 hi-res DAC, and these speakers have improved my audio experience far beyond what I expected when listening to music and playing games. They also remain remarkably detailed even at very low volume, meaning I can enjoy them throughout the day and night. With so few options for good passive bookshelf speakers at this size, they really are a no-brainer if you're looking for a high quality, compact set of bookshelf monitors. You could also opt for the slightly cheaper 3E (non-Carbon, also available at K&B) variant if you're limited by budget. I highly recommend these speakers. ★★★★★”
