The problem with making a 'proper' curry yourself, is spoiled by the thankless task of sourcing, toasting and grinding spices ( and no the stuff in a jar of sauce doesn't count!) BUT if you get a Tastesmith kit all this is done for you. Just add protein or veg, plus an onion and a tine of chopped tomatoes- follow the recipe, and you will have an authentic curry. Its 95% as good as my local restaurant Jai Ho, in Horley, which I rate as one of the best in the UK !!”
