“I was so disappointed that on first use I discovered that this blanket was not at all waterproof. I put it down on some wet grass and our bums were soaked in 10 seconds.”

The product description on our website states that our picnic blankets are water resistant, rather than waterproof. The backing will be able to withstand a certain amount of water before allowing water through.

“Form and function are very important to us, in this case the rug was delivered beautifully presented in high quality box with straw packing, bought as a wedding present for a family member with Campbell heritage it required no further packing from us, simply to wrap it in gift paper. The rug secured by its blue leather straps and brass buckles has most attractive form, the quality of the wool and the rug's backing ensure functionality on any surface. Delighted in every way, thank you.”

“Looks just like the picture. Lovely and soft, and you get to feel smug as it uses recycled fibres. Because of this it looks more felted than knitted or woven, which is totally fine for our purposes. The picnic backing isn't a perfect/true lining, but given the size of the item I'm neither surprised nor disappointed. From experience I know how hard it is to get two unbonded layers to perfectly match on such a large item. Perfect present for son in law.”
