“The Victorinox SwissChamp is possibly the perfect pocket multi-tool - Period. Whether black, red or all colours of the rainbow is a minor detail - though the fact that there are so many after-market scale options is good for those that are fussy about such ephemera. What is important - above all - is the sheer quality of each component in this wonderfully compact toolkit. Mine sits in a Victorinox mult--pocketted pouch (#4.0567.03), with an AAA flashlight, spare (Lithium) battery, fire-steel & striker, sharpener and flat-folding Hex-key & small screwdriver set. All-in-all, with the Swisschamp, a total of 47 available tools available - in one compact belt pouch. Amazing. What's even better is that many of the Swisstool features are dual-purpose, particularly if you spend a little time on YouTube, where there are several Victorinox enthusiast's videos demonstrating uses for Swiss Army Knife tools that Carl Elsener never dreamed about..! In my case (pouch), I carry a full-size Fire-steel & striker, but if you don't pick your teeth, you can even buy (from Firefly), a miniature ferrocerium fire-steel that slides into the same toothpick slot. More versatility... My own favorite Swisschamp tool is/are the pliers, which, though small in size, include a crimper, wire cutter, nut gripper and serrated plier tips - all in a compact yet robust tool. To make the Swisschamp perfect, Victorinox could have included a Locking main blade (as on their Wenger-derived model), for safety (I'd rather not lose blood because some moronic politician says all locking knives are "deadly weapons", purely to gain votes). It would also be an improvement if both the large screwdriver/bottle opener And the Phillips #2 driver incorporated the Wenger "Push-Lock" mechanism, which makes each item safer in use. Finally, Mr. Elsener (the fourth), can we PLEASE get rid of hook & loop (Velcro), fastenings for ALL Victorinox belt pouches..? It's cheap, it's nasty, it gathers fluff and stuff - and ALL such fastenings should be replaced with proper Stud/Popper fasteners.. That last paragraph is just to prove this is a real review, from one who has two Victorinox SwissChamps - and a whole host of other items from the same source. Not some "Paid-for" chinglish scribblings. In short, buy a SwissChamp and a Leatherman Free P2 and all your EDC needs are covered.”

“This was a gift for our teenage son who loved discovering all the tools. The icing on the cake was the engraving of his name on one of the blades. It will be a gift to cherish. Great customer service. Would recommend”
