“I bought these because they came highly recommended for support and stability, particularly with regard to ankle pain whilst running that can be caused by overpronation. However, I found the shoes to be so rigid and structured that they were actually really painful to run in. The top edges of the shoes are hard and dig into my achilles tendon, the rigidity of the shoe around my foot is uncomfortable; the piece under the arch is very firm and feels too high. It's all really unpleasant. I spent a few days walking around in them to try and wear them in a bit, but because they don't let me foot move or flex that caused far more pain than I had before, so I'm sticking with some much lighter Nikes I bought that are less supportive but seem to provide a much softer and more comfortable run. I admit it's probably my feet and ankles that are the problem, rather than the shoe, but I was surprised that the shoe wasn't more accommodating. The price was excellent, and as I'm probably never going to wear them, I expect they'll last forever.”

“This is the third pair of Asics GT2000 I have bought and I really love these trainers. As an overpronator I find the support they provide is very good and I have seen an improvement in my running time since getting the 6 series.”
