The book is in perfect shape and it is simply beautiful. The visuals and images are great and I love it. However, when reading the rules, two things bother me a lot. First is the crafting and gathering, and there are no level limits on anything, gathering, crafting or wearing the created equipment. I am not sure what would then motivate players to gather and craft the lower version of the equipment instead of the highest one. The other thing is the food table. There is heal 1, heal 2, heal 3 + special effect, and then 5 and 6 from two special foods. Otherwise, tuna, swordfish, lobster all is the same and it just somehow feels incomplete and lacking. I am still waiting to play the game, so in the end it might work great and I might edit my review. But the feeling I got from just reading it is not that great.

I absolutely love this game, I can't believe they managed to even make this up and now it's become real. So different from the online game but yet so not as well. Me and my 10 year old son loves playing this. Hours and hours of fun. Lets go!!!!

The book is awesome! I love the binding the feel of the cover, the quality of the stitching, and the binding seems to be superb. The images are crisp and clear. I found no blurring no double printing nothing askew on any of the pages. Bring me back to my original D&D games in the mid 70s. Very nice book.

The game itself is amazing to finally recieve however, i do have a few issues that made me feel rather dissappointed because 1) i spent a lot of money on this, and 2) it was rather a long wait for the game to finally arrive, so i was expecting close to perferection by the time it was done... 1) the rules are a bit difficult to understand, there are so many different groups of cards for the game that its very easy to mix them up and get confused, so i almost wish there was a seperate book or instructions on how to sort and organize the cards. i almost dont know when the decks need to be shuffled or when they need to stay in order, or if they need to be shuffled at all.... and then it would have been nice to see a card list for the order sequence that the cards need to be in when the game was manufactured like if you needed to reset the box to its factory settings, so to speak. especially when taking into account the new cards that are introduced in the expansions, it would have been nice to see a deck list that explains which cards belong to which expansion, in order to fool proof it and prevent someone from mixing up the decks. this is something that can be added as an online instructional now if you so chose. 2) I'm also the type of person who needs to put card sleeves on all my cards just to protect them and make them last. so it wouldve been nice to see the game box take into account the size of the decks if a player were to add card slevees because now when i put the box away, some expansions are bulging becuase it cannot close properly bcuz the decks are not flush with the black inlays, becuase the slevees add a bit of size to the decks. 3) I would have also liked to see online instructional videos on how to set up your first quest, what everything in the manual means. its a different feel when a real life person is explaining something rather than trying to interpret the manual and possibly understanding something incorrectly. at least if theres a youtube video and i dont understand something, i can leave a comment and my question will get answered. 4) the game boxes also seem rather disorganized in terms of the token pieces. there are a lot of token pieces and not enough spaces provided to organize everything. i ended up using the deluxe box to sort and organize my tokens because of all the little spaces that were provided however, the recesses of the box are rather large for some tokens which are very few, so it seems like wasted real estate that could have been used more effectively to better organize all the different tokens. further more, it would have been nice to see the expansion boxes having their own little organization for tokens, becuase some of them introduce their own tokens to the game 5) finally i have noticed some typos in the instruction manual. not in terms of spelling but in terms of explaining. especially for the tutorial island quest which made playing the first quest very confusing. the instruction manual explained to go to a region and explore to gain a certain resource but the region it told me to be in, did not have the resource that i was supposed to get. it simply became very confusing and it seemed evident that the developers didnt play test the tutorial island by allowing a test group (people who were not part of the development team, who have never played the game before) to try the game and see if everything worked or made sense. I'm sorry, if my comments here came across as being negative, that is not my intention, my only intention is to be constructive and offer feedback that might help development in the future. i hope my comments make sense, im happy to elaborate further if needed.

The book is beautiful, the lore well presented, the layout good and the art fits the material well. Mechanically, however, the book feels like an alpha that went straight to print. It is playable, but feels like it needed more time in the oven (and testing) to get it to where it needs to be. Also, other than lore it doesn't stick to the game very well.
