“Virtual Monitor is useful, I like how you can reference between three distances. I have my preferred distance that is similar to my studio; however, it is good to check at different distances to ensure translation.”
“Virtual Monitoring works well, it has a more natural sound than the plugin I was previously using and it’s good to have it integrated in the plugin.
I almost always have to work on location nowadays and SoundID Reference/ Virtual Monitoring have proven to be invaluable. Mixes translate very well, so I’d definitely recommend it as a very useful add on.”
“As for the Virtual Monitoring plugin itself, it works perfectly and is a great addition to SoundID for headphones. The only thing I’d change is a small UI detail: when I manually adjust the frequency response, the studio and monitor visuals disappear. They should stay visible at all times, as their absence suggests that Virtual Monitoring is no longer active. Currently, the studio graphics only appear when the 'Flat Target' option is selected.”
