“Every time I unsleep my Windows I have to restart the sound engine otherwise there is no sound. Had the same problem with reference 4, had discussion with support for months but nothing came out of it.
If I use the asio to asio driver with reaper it works at first, but after closing reaper I cannot move the driver type to windows virtual to asio. If I do it the SoundID process crashes.
Additionally there are a lot of pops and clicks when the calibration is turned on.
I'm on 256 samples buffer with latest ryzen3 which has substantial single core performance. Even if I turn the safety buffer to max the pops continue.
The software is quite buggy, maybe it's better on MacOS, but for Windows the situation is bad. The room correction is very good if we don't count the bugs.”
“I paid for the product on April 27 and today May 5 I have not received the license. I have written to him 4 times but nobody answers me. I'm still waiting for a customer service professional to help me.”
“I like the new features, some of which were old features coming back. Thanks to listening to your customers. On the other hand I think the new UI is not really an improvement, I do not like the tendency to merge consumers and pro's into one brand or UI. As an audio professional I couldn't care less and preferred the "divide" in brand name, look and feel. I really have to criticise the ordering and update process though. I hardly ever saw a less comfortable and not thought through way of updating existing users to a new version. Also I think the improvements do not really justify the update price. € 29 would have been more appropriate. My biggest complaint is that one does not get a receipt automatically without having to contact support. This is unacceptable. Please get better with those disimprovements
Apart from those points keep up the good work. I love your product and it was a gamechanger for a lot of us, for me undoubtedly.”
“The listening aspect works well from the audio handling perspective. And I love some of the concepts and what it's trying to accomplish. The UI definitely needs work, especially if you have to use multiple devices and switch between them. If you have only one configuration and you can set it and forget it then it's fine once the setup is complete.
If they don't have the calibration data then things suddenly go off the rails. And while they have the data for lots of headphones, if you're using speakers you're in for a treat. Trying to calibrate your speakers has so many specific requirements and issues it's an absolutely horrible experience. Even when you manage to acquire all the specific components and set them up the way they require, it fails to calibrate more often than it works. For me after a ton of time invested I managed to get it to work once on one specific machine - and never messed with hit again. I was never able to get it to work on some other machines.
Frankly, these days this should be crazy easy. Many modern audio components can do this at the push of a button.
In the end, frankly, I don't think it's worth the cost. You can get more or less the same capabilities, and often more, for less money elsewhere.”
