At first, when I bought Sonarworks Reference 4 Soundwide, I thought I would probably get a better mix or even better sound. But with the software stability and installation issues, I decided to put it aside and stop using it. Several months later, I thought about upgrading to the new ReferenceID 4 version now v.5. As usual, the installation problem arose. Then the software stability issue with Mac Big Sur gave me problems. The software did not stay connected to my audio card (Apollo Twin MKII). Frustrated with this waste of time, I decided to return the software for a refund. But the company does not seem to be in favor of my refund. It is said that after 14 days, we can be reimbursed "Without Hassle". Hmm ... we'll see. If you purchase this software, purchase it with PayPal to protect you.

Upgraded from the old DAW plug-in, originally bought in 2015. This is an absolutely fantastic product... if, like me, you're forced to work and mix mainly on quality headphones it's a no-brainer. Amazing

SoundID is about as broken and buggy as Reference 4, unfortunately. I'm sticking with you only because there's no alternatives, but as soon as some come up, I don't think I will be upgrading with you.

upgrading is a hastle. finding relevant information on the website is very inconvenient. Support does need a very long time to get back to you. Your product kees are not automiticaly transfered to the new User account that came with the new Website Design. it does look very nice, quite like ableton live, but it does not work well and has no proper, consistent coumunication-design for a basic. The dual customer targeting equaly weighted, consumer and profesionals. is not properly thought trough. The produkt is still nice and i like to work with it

SoundID was literally what I first envisioned would be the next update after I Reference 4. I thought it would be so cool if they could manipulate the EQ curve in a way that it would make it sound like other common speakers and that's exactly what they did. I no longer have to continually check in my car or phone, I can just pull up those presets on SoundID and I'll get a much better reference of how my mix will sound across speaker system. I recommend this to be the very first plug-in you should get as a an audio engineer or producer.

The SoundID Reference is clearly more effective, with more choices and flexibility too
