“This tool (plugin) is truly amazing! Absolutely! Placing this plugin last on the master bus makes all the difference in your mix. i'm floored by this plugin. There is a difference between Reference 4 and Sound ID. The plugin dials in a "truer, flatter playback allowing you to truly make better mix decisions. With this plugin i do not use nearly as many plugins mixing as i did before getting this Sonarworks tool. Of course, the CPU is a lot happier and i'm not frustrated because of the CPU load :) No studio is complete without this one.”
“Honestly, the only real "plus" now is that you have no limitations on the tone controls like you do with Ref 4. It doesn't actually sound any better or worse. The biggest aggravation is that as of 9 July, 2021 there is still no profile for the Focal Clear Mg, only the regular Clear. There ARE differences that necessitate a unique profile. These are mainstream and very popular headphones that have been out for nearly 4 months. This software can only do it's best work with the proper profile and I feel like Sonarworks is lagging on this. I requested the profile through the app when I bought the phones on day 1 of availability. Come on Sonarworks, support your app.”
