I used Sonarworks Reference for years and its SoundID update is an improvement on the concept. I hope that the team will support more and more headphones and that the Systemwide application will get improved under certain aspects that may be better from a UX point of view. Hopefully, the customization of your custom profile will get a tiny bit deeper in the future as well providing the best freedom to the end user.

The upgrade was not really necessary for me at this point. I am facing more technical problems than before. But i hope they will be fixed soon ;)

I upgraded because of more possibilities to change the EQ. More flexibility, not only treble/bass.

SoundID Reference is a great tool, to be honest I can't mix without it, it's just perfect to flat your headphones, very very reccomended!

Both Reference 4 and Sound ID would at times become unresponsive after computer sleep.

I enjoyed the newer slick interface. I like how it is easier to apply multiple headphone profiles as well as the additional sound profile curves that can be applied on top of the headphone profile. It is very fun and useful as a sound engineer to test the different environment EQ profiles to assess your mix.
