Sonarworks + measurement mic + Adam audio integration = :D fixed like magic an issue I had for a long time - a frustrating boomy resonance at 130Hz. It is right at C2/C#2 and when a bass note hits it my ears hurt. Not anymore! My room is relatively treated but the correction was very much needed! 10/10!

"Forget about messing around trying to dial in a mix if you don't first treat the soundspace." I never knew what that statement meant until I heard the difference that SoundID Reference makes. Once you are listening at a flat signal, you will notice the difference immediately, and as you turn off and on the enable button, your jaw will drop. This is the single most important purchase you need to make today, before even thinking about libraries and sounds.

And the results speak for themselves. Immediately identified and could address some of my mixing issues and deliver WAY better listening experience. Booming basses, gone. Muddiness gone. All because now my nearfields sound as they should in my room.

I have been using SoundID Reference for about a week and in that time I have finished the 2 cleanest mixes of my life. Cannot believe the difference in my music.

I'm really pleased with the current version of SoundID Reference. Initially, I wasn't a fan of DSP speaker calibration, but I have changed my mind on the matter. I actually used an older version of Sonarworks at a studio I used to ocassionally work at. At the time, I thought it was only ok, and in general found it to be more trouble than it was worth. But the current version is amazing, I've embraced Sonarworks, and I don't think I'll ever go back. It was actually the headphone calibration features that got me to revisit Sonarworks. I was currious, so decided to demo the latest version. I was blown away by how much more acurate my headphones sounded with Sonarworks. Since I was already trying the demoing the product, I decided to give speaker calibration another chance. Again, I was pleasantly surprised. Now I use Sonarworks on my main monitors, on my second monitors, and on my main set of headphones.

Working with Sonarworks SoundID Reference software and the reference microphone is a breeze. I managed to install the software and go through the calibration process without having to look at the manual. It's really simple but thorough, and I was really surprised how much of a difference it made. I am still in the process of adapting to the new situation (i.e. calibrated setup), but already my mixes sound so much better!
