“Great! As I get more work with mixing it became clear that there was opportunity to improve my monitoring experience. To use sonarworks was an immediate improvement on the listening environment without having to buy new monitors, which would have just brought on a new set of resonances and possible issues.”
“I love Sonarworks to death but my only gripe is the SoundID to measure and set the room up. The software is very easy to navigate and setup. While it does take a long time to get going it is worth it. The only issue I have run into is for whatever reason It cannot fully detect the middle of my room. I have tried the room in several orientations. I am stumped as I have used this on another computer previously and it worked perfectly. Now on my new laptop and new desktop I cannot seem to get a proper room reading in the slightest. Looking for help on this one.”

“I purchased Sonarworks as the final cherry on top of my editing room treatment and it's been great. You have to take any equalizer-based correction software like this with a grain of salt. Unless your room is built for listening, this isn't going to fix what there is to fix completely. And in some cases it may hurt as much as it helps. I'm in a well treated, dedicated room and I still run the correction between 70% & 75% and get really picky on the parameters of what I allow the correction to do. With that said, if you're willing to spend the time to dial the software in and use it appropriately, it sounds phenomenal to really get things evened out. The volume and delay match, even after carefully measuring placement of everything in my room, caught very small (1dB and .1ms respectively to be exact) changes that focused my stereo image up a ton. Start with room treatment, and make sure you're honest with yourself about your needs, but if you're happy with the way things are sounding, Sonarworks will give you peace of mind that things sound the best they can given your environment. (The headphone corrections are a must, and don't really have the same pitfalls as the monitor corrections. I still run my headphone corrections at 80-85% just to let a little more of the headphone's character shine through, but listening to a pair of 7506's with the correction on and off makes it so hilariously obvious how much it helps.) And a side note, SoundID aside, the e-books these guys put out are fantastic resources that are well thought out and hold a wealth of information.”
“Setup was nice and easy, information was simple to understand and clear.
I know digital correction is not the ultimate solution to a good sounding studio, but it’s definitely a big improvement in the right direction. My listening experience is way more accurate and detailed now and I’m happy with the purchase. Thank you folks :)”
