I'm in college right now, and I was able to afford the Reference at an affordable price. I'm very happy with my purchase!

It took me about 2 weeks to get used to the new sound of the headphones (Audio Technica R70X). But the mixing and mastering improved a lot. Previously I had a problem with the frequency response of my productions even on these headphones. Usually on studio monitors, on the phone or in the car I would find problems in my track. Now it's 300% better. What annoys me though is the arguing between SoundID and the DAW (They are arguing about the sound card). So I have to turn SoundID off before turning ON the DAW and vice versa. Can't have SoundID on in Windows and in the DAW at the same time. Otherwise, I am satisfied. Thank you Sonarworks.

Headphones profiles are limited, and expensive to send headphones in to get a profile if yours aren't on the list. Software configuration is easy. Great instructions. Easy to use with studio monitors.

SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones | with Measurement Microphone was straightforward to install. The user-guided instructions/process to install, register the software and calibrate the recording studio room took about an hour or so to complete including setup time. SoundID found a few frequency buildup points in the room and compensated them for an overall flat frequency response as expected. A before and after calibration screenshot illustrates the frequency compensation listening experience. The purple chart shows frequency buildups and attenuation at different points in the spectrum between left and right speakers while the green chart shows the calibrated response of negating these anomalies. I'm Completely satisfied with the initial results.

I'm studying in the Conservatory of Music now. The education permit has a lot of money left for me. I will recommend my classmates around me to buy an education license.
