“I have both the Sonarworks soundID reference and I use virtual monitoring. It allows you to hear very quickly how your mixes sound on different mediums, I particularly like putting it through the "car speaker" settings to save me bouncing and checking my mixes in the car. “Lately, I started building a Home Studio and Workplace. Since I didn't have a big budget, I was looking for a simple, inexpensive, and effective solution to the problem of monitoring recordings as accurately as possible and doing it in the best quality possible under the circumstances.
While browsing through various acoustic treatments, I stumbled upon Sonarworks SoundId Reference. I tried it right away, and that's basically the end of the story because after listening to it through headphones and studio monitors, I bought it.
The purchase was easy and quick. I simply bought the software because I already had a measurement microphone at home. Based on the descriptions and what I read in forums, it perfectly met my needs.
I didn't need much help from support because everything was clear, even speaker calibration, which I was a bit worried about.
Overall, I'm very selective about what I spend money on, but currently, I feel this software is worth every cent.
And it has received an update since, which is only a positive for me as it means the developers are continually improving the usability and my experience.
