“Very pleased to have found the jacket and fits me exactly. Ordered the XL size as I am 6 foot Inches tall and 44 inch chest.
Original Barbour item which I hope will last me 20 years with the correct care.”
“As per some reviews I went a size up to a large - 5’10” medium build and fits perfectly - sleeves a little long but not an issue. Comfy and warm
With a long sleeve top. Love it!”
“Jacket is beautifully finished with leather trims. I had ordered a XL size as this was needed for the Barbour Lutz jacket I already had. The shoulders were slightly loose and would have been ok but for the sleeves being much too long extending to the end of my thumb. Exchanged for the large jacket which fits perfectly. I am 5'11" and my chest measures 45" / waist 34". The jacket is a neat fit well when combined with a shirt or something light (no room for heavy jumpers or the like). It's a 'tailored fit' so that's the way it should look. The large size length is good for both jacket and sleeves.”
“Firstly, I would like to speak about Stephen, and his team. He is an absolutely charming gentleman to deal with. Polite, informative, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Order was placed at 16:30 Wednesday, and I had the garment in my hands by 12:30, 44 hours later. And that includes it being Good Friday! Tremendously efficient. Now, the jacket itself. If you’re contemplating purchasing one, I’m sure you’ll have done plenty of research, and be as baffled by the apparent sizing as everyone is. It’s 100% true. Barbour have got the sizing for this model all wrong. It’s all over the place. Knowing this, and after speaking with Stephen, I opted to go for the Large. Now, I’m only 5’9”, and weight is around 12 stone. So approximately 170lbs. I’m 67 years old, and of slight build.40” chest, 34” waist, relatively narrow 19” shoulders. Many have said that this is only a jacket for Spring and Autumn, but I felt that given the expense, I’d rather like to wear it during Winter also. I also wanted it to look like a “normal” jacket, therefore , it would need to be roomy enough to get a couple of thin layers underneath. The Large size does so, along with the midriff not being too tight. Across the shoulders it fits absolutely perfectly. Most pics I’ve seen of men wearing this jacket have looked terrible. Almost every single gent was wearing it far too tight, and ended up looking like an uncooked porchetta. Memo to all, you are NOT Daniel Craig, nor do you have the physique of an Olympic butterfly swimmer or Dolce and Gabbana model. Do NOT buy a size and squeeze into it. You will do no more than spend a great deal of money to merely look ridiculous. Next, the arms. All you may have read is correct. They are laughingly long. But, a good tailor can be a godsend. My own is removing the leather trim, shortening the arms by two inches, and reaffixing the leather trim for just £25. In conclusion, a great purchase, from a great company. I hope this review helps, even just a little, should you be umming and aahing for months on end about taking the plunge. As I did! Thank you very much once again Stephen. Stellar service! ””
