“Some good and bad - good is the purchase and delivery cycle from the supplier, ease of setup and use. Bad is the lack of specifics about power and volume of the kit and suitability for room. I have a lounge area of 7x3m and standard height and this system is of a very low output for the room, for almost £1,200 I think this is a bit poor. It would probably suit a room a third of half the size. Bad is also the Sonos app, worked at first but at some point update and lost the system and evereything now needs to be factory reset and done again - really poor QA but tbh the app setup is a poor idea anyway imho. The last two issues outweigh the good points, so best avoided and 3 stars is generous.”

“I've had a Beam Gen 2 for a few months now and loving it. But wanted more for a new room, so decided to go for it and get all 3 sections - Front, Surrounds & Sub and I wasnt dissapointed. They were surprisingly easy to set-up and use too. Just plug in, they pop up on the Sonos S2 App, you do a software update, add them to your system and thats it. After listening to lots of music, it sounds amazing, especially some of the Spatial Music with the surrounds. Then of course I watched Top Gun: Maverick - Incredible. It sounded amazing and the planes & missles literaly flew past you. I can't wait to re-watch all my favourite films again.”

“I originally had the first gen beam just by itself. So when I saw an offer for beam gen 2 with sub mini and X2 era 100 surrounds I did some research. I eventually went for it and ordered at 3pm and it arrived the next day. I had some issues getting the beam set up. Ended taking me around 3 hours but after setting up the surrounds and sub the beam eventually played ball. All together music sounds so much better and watching just normal TV is amazing. Films and Dolby atmos series etc sound just like I had hoped and probably better. Overall I am very happy with the product and very happy with the service from smart home sounds. I would have no issues in buying through them again and recommending them.”
