What with the excellent service received by the staff at smart home sounds, as I had problems setting up the system, and the offer of the six year warranty, it was a no brainer to purchase via them. Overall, the best customer service I have ever experienced.. Being the first time of owning a sonos product I nearly have up and sent it back under the returns policy, something I wouldn't have had the option of doing of purchasing elsewhere. But the staff talked me through the whole process and I am now one happy owner, so happy in fact that I purchased the surrounds. The surrounds were a mare to set up as well (if you've a bt hub, switch off 5ghz via the admin page otherwise you will never set up the surrounds) but once again a couple of phone calls, after watching endless videos on line with no luck, we finally found the solution to the problem, so if you run in to any issues and you've a bt hub or any hub that switches between 2ghz and 5 then give smart home a call and they will more than likely talk you through the process. To the staff that I dealt with, thank you for your time and patience, much appreciated.

The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is a Excellent product just what I was looking for. It’s replaced a home cinema system and what a good job it’s done. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Would definitely recommend Smart Home Sounds.

I was needing a new soundbar as the one I had was not clear enough for my partner to hear it except when it was turned up too loud. I started looking on youtube to find out what was about. I found Smart Home Sounds videos reviewing the Sonos products. They were very helpful and they helped me decide to buy the Sonos Beam Gen2. I am so impressed with the sound and so is my partner. it doesn't need to be loud for her to hear it. The sound is so clear. Wish id bought one before. I am pleased that I bought this from Smart Home Sounds. they give a first-class service & with a long warranty & the videos are very professional. I'm going to buy from them in the future.

Bought it to improve the sound on a new Samsung QLED TV and it certainly does that. The sound quality is great throughout the range, but it stands out in particular for improving and clarifying vocals. Really excellent sound quality. The top and rear Dolby Atmos performance is a bit weak, but not bad for such a small form factor. Only extra rear speakers would improve that, but it’s not a big issue for us. The set up was not as smooth as it should have been, but that turned out to be a Samsung/Humax issue with clashing HDMIs. After tearing my hair out, I eventually found and fitted to the Humax HDMI plug a CEC-less adapter which cured the issue immediately. The online Sonos instructions for fixing the problem were pretty useless. Whilst the Beam may not be the most stylish of soundbars, in this case, substance triumphs over style. The sound, which let’s face it, is why we buy soundbars, is stunning and surpassed my expectations. I suffer from some hearing loss and often have to watch tv with subtitles as increasing the volume also increases the sound of accompanying music which then drowns out the speech. Fortunately the speech enhancement of the Beam works wonderfully well and I no longer need subtitles. Result. When listening to music I have also started to hear instruments that I hadn’t heard previously during playback. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to set up Trueplay as the microphones kept picking up sounds that I couldn’t hear. I suspect it might have been a refrigerator in the kitchen. I was able to set up manually from a helpful YouTube video. Re the app, I’m slowly learning to get full use of it but it would be helpful if Sonos could provide a 5 year old child with every Beam. They seem to be able to deal with all things tech. Am I happy with the Beam, you bet I am. I have plans to add a couple of Sonos Ones and if the rumoured small sub ever comes to pass, I’ll buy that too. That’s the sign of a satisfied listener.

Great sound with Sonos Beam and two S one speakers giving great surround sound, only slight problem was the set up ,the Sonos app would not work wirelessly had to use an ethernet cable to connect to the internet.
