“I was in two minds whether or not to buy a Sonos port. I had a good use for one, but the problem was the high price (in my opinion) for what it is. I just can't understand why it costs so much. Surely a fair slice of the tech inside one of these is also included inside say a Sonos One. You can buy two of those for the price of one of these. Surely the parts that aren't included in a One, doesn't come to the cost of an additional One! Anyway I bit the bullet and bought one, and for me it does an excellent job. It hooks my hi-fi separates into my sonos system and allows me to use Airplay2. I have a reasonably large open-plan lounge/dining room with the hi-fi in the dining area, and a Playbar, 2 x Play 3's and a sub in the lounge area. With them all going together it sounds superb. I also have Play 1's in other rooms and the option to route from the port to other rooms when using Airplay2 does what I wanted. I have given it 4 stars but it would have been five if it didn't cost so much.”
