“I’ve tried literally every single scalp psoriasis product out there - even my doctor’s prescription shampoo - and nothing worked. I then came across this and the relief from the constant itching is overwhelming. My head is calm and, after just 3 washes, the lumps and scales are disappearing. The condition of my hair is better too. I’m putting coconut oil on my scalp and leaving it on overnight before washing the following morning to help soften the scales but even that wasn’t working with other treatments. The smell of the shampoo is, I think, not great (I would liken it to cigarette smoke) but that’s a small price to pay! And please don’t let the manufacturer change it by adding perfume, as I just don’t want the composition of this stuff to change.”
“Admittedly I’ve only used it once so can’t testify to its efficacy but the smell is really pungent; unlike other reviewers who said their hair didn’t smell once they dried it, mine smells very strongly of coal tar once dried. Will need to wash it with regular shampoo tomorrow.”

“This was the first product I got from the Skin Shop, after reading an article in The Sunday Times magazine about 10 years ago. This cleared up a very itchy red scalp in a matter of 2 or 3 washes. For me I like the (similar to coal tar) smell (even though this contains no coal tar) as it smells really fresh. I've recently been run down and stressed and started to get an itchy sore scalp again. Having tried numerous "cosmetic" shampoos which are expensive and do not work (theres not much choice for us guys) I went back to this Oregon shampoo. As effective as it's always been and stopped my itchy scalp in one wash. It has no bad ingredients (especially sodium lauryl sulphate) is vegan and cruelty free, which to me makes it good for those reasons alone. The fact it works so well too is a bonus. A bottle lasts me about 10 months. A brilliant, effective product.”
