“The installation was not as simple as it should have been. Ended up calling a plumber to sort it out. The fittings are not compatible with UK standard fittings. The water supply hoses that come with the tap has a male fitting end that doesn’t allow for a quick, easy tap change as UK standard water supply fittings are male as well. I believe this tap came from Italy, which is fine, but not if the plumbing needs to be re-worked by a plumber to accommodate foreign fittings. The tap also seemed a bit on the cheap side compared to the previous tap we had. The lever doesn’t move very smoothly and is quite stiff, which doesn’t speak quality to me. The pull out sprayer will not properly retract despite the installation of the massive weight. I don’t think I should have to crawl under the sink numerous times each day to pull on the sprayer hose to manually retract it into place. Overall, I’m already looking forward to having to replace this tap. It’s been a disappointment in many ways.”

Hi Wendy Sounds like the weight either hasnt been fitted in the correct place, has slipped down or is getting caught on some pipes or connections under the sink. We have sold Abode products for almost 20 years and on the whole dont have these sort of problems. A member of our Technical team would be more than happy to help. “This is a nice neat tap, and I especially like the pull out on it so I can rinse round the sink, plus water my plants easily with it! The tap is a little wobbly but apparently this is because it is tall and is fitted to the Abode Connekt Flushfit Stainless Steel inset sink, which is very thin.”
