“Looks great and works very well with my large double Belfast sinks - the spout angles towards the centre of the sink so it's easy to rinse pans etc without splashing behind the sink. The aerator (essential in a good tap I feel) also hugely reduces splashing. I went for the brushed nickel finish - which is lovely. Very useful to be able to fully operate the tap with one hand (eg. when holding items to be rinsed in the other). I'm in a rented flat and a plumber did the installation so I can't comment on how easy that is (depends on access, having the right tools etc.). Not the cheapest of taps but well worth the money - assuming it lasts well.”

“It took quite a long time to receive the kitchen tap we ordered. Upon installation we realized the fittings were not standard UK fittings and ended up having to hire a plumber, for what should have been an easy installation, as there wasn’t a simple way to convert them as UK fittings would not fit the new tap. Also, the finish of the tap seems to be subpar, as it now has a permanent mark/discoloration on top of tap after draping a clean wet dish cloth over to tap to dry. We’ve contacted Sinks-Taps regarding these issues, but we have never received a reply! Very poor customer service! They’ll just take your money and run.”

Hi Wendy The Abode taps are a British product and they are supplied with UK fittings. Its more likely that you have a different size of pipework fitting under your sink and not that the tap isn't a UK product. The plumber who fitted your tap should have been easily able to just connect the tap with only a slight modification, which is totally normal. It is not recommended to hang a dishcloth over the spout of a tap. This is due to potential cleaning residue still being in the cloth and direct sunlight or even just daylight can dry the cloth out and leave marks on the chrome plating. This is not a problem with the tap or a sign of poor quality. Its disappointing that you have suggested we take your money and run! Quite the opposite that we have a dedicated team, here to help and assist. We spend considerable amounts of money to ensure we have trained staff available to speak to customers.

“This is a lot smaller than I thought, but that is my fault for not checking the dimensions. It is anthracite and looks very good in place. Just check the sizes before buying. The product itself is very well built and for that reason I kept it.”
