Other than getting used to how it works on the course and off--The only major flaw is the band--It can only be used opposite of how I where my watch band. They say there is a sensor only on the short band with the buckle side. Makes no sense to me. So you fumble around trying to put the watch on backwards of what you are used to. I wear an Apple watch most of the time for fitness purposes-so this is a real problem for me. Doesn't feel right.

Nice golf accessory to have at a reasonable price Around £200. Looks good and has lots of features I haven’t discovered as yet.

I purchased this watch after owning a Garmin S62 and after trying a half dozen apps for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Garmin has good hardware and technology but is way too expensive and the data is not presented the way I wanted. I also didn't want to pay even more money for sensors just to get short game stats. Another thing that dawned on me is that golf is just a tiny part of the Garmin portfolio and it takes a back seat. Some of the apps for the GW5P were good but none checked all the boxes. The X5 is the most complete and accurate so far, no issues but have only used it twice and then winter hit. Connection to sensors is milliseconds, GPS accuracy is very good and it is user friendly. Most of all the process that they recommend to review your round on a PC or tablet makes sense to me. I don't think any of these devices will be 100% accurate and I like to review my round after anyway. I liken it to when pros review their scorecard for accuracy after a round. All that said, I can always find areas for improvement and would gladly provide my thoughts to Shot Scope if they wish.

I had a v2 and then a v3. Then I switched to a garmin s62; after a few rounds, I returned to shotscope for an x5. It was easier to use and provided more data. Customer service is amazing - even with my silly questions. Garmin may be #1 in name, but Shotscope is #1 in ease of use, performance, and data collection.

I wasn’t sure I was going to fall in love with wearing a watch every round, but it was love after the first round. I have used the X5 every round since then. Having the front, middle, and back distances for the green. This has improved my course management tremendously. One of the great things about the shot tracking is that when you log into the app or the website where you have a robust amount of data that you can dig into to improve your game. Not only can you look at all your shots on a hole at a specific course to improve how you play the hole, but you can also look at trends over time to see where you need to work on your game or your course management. One of things I have been impressed with is Shot Scope’s regular firmware updates and their pipeline of future improvements that they have teased with their monthly newsletter that keeps user’s up to date. Lastly, the last shot distance feature is one of my favorite features. It has made it so much easier for finding tee shots as you can use the distance hone you in or when you bomb a drive you can see how far the tee shot was in real time.

The latest firmware update is fantastic. The screen is very responsive now and makes accessing the menu quick and easy. The X5 is performing great for me and the statistics are showing me what parts of my game I need to work on to bring my scores down!
