“Yes, there were teething problems when it first launched, but, ShotScope's drive to get things 100% is absolutely brilliant. Their support team is first class, and their response to questions or issues is very fast and conclusive. The watch itself is great, I love it. Yardages are accurate, recording of my scores is terrific, and the ability to see your over-par situation at a glance at any hole is really helpful. When I get home, the amount of stats I can study on my dashboard is bewildering! Very impressive product, WAY cheaper than its competition. Terrific.”

“The watch is very easy to use, it detects the clubs automatically and registers the score that you just have to confirm. It is very accurate for the yardage, it matches what you get with a laser so you can trust the distances you get on the watch. It's also a nice size, not too big. The only thing that is a bit annoying is that the wristband is in reverse, the buckle is at the bottom, which makes putting on the watch a bit more difficult.”

“Since the recent firmware update the features appear to be more stable and functionally better. Also, the scoring entered vs. shots - strokes taken is a good feature; easier to notice a need to resolve diffences at time of editing. Having used the V3 and X5 I'm still partial to using buttons, instead of swiping, to access screens for layups and hazards. Having used score keeping on a Garmin I like being able to add penalty shots at the same time as total strokes/putts. Still not sure about the watches battery life, after one 18 hole round I must recharge the watch before even a 9 hole round; especially if it's left on and used as a watch later.”

“The watch performs well and provides enough information for the average golfer to navigate through a round. Stats downloaded to the app at the end of the round are useful for determining areas for improvement (if you don't already know, that is) and is a main feature. Unfortunately, using this does take its toll on the battery life so be sure to charge it before a game and try not to exceed 6 hours. If putts and penalties are entered on the watch as they happen a very accurate record of the round is produced and requires very little after-round editing on the app. Definitely worth the outlay ; the V3 is good but I feel the X5 is a vast improvement.”

“So simple to use it does everything I want it to do. I’ve had the v2 and the v3 previously and loved both but this x5 is the best thing since sliced bread.”
