“Likes: It delivers what I want. It gives accurate distances. Battery life is OK. Looks good. Shot data is really interesting and I enjoy that. Support team has always been very responsive and helpful. Excellent value for money. Top marks for all that. Dislikes: getting through menus with the touchscreen is fiddly and more difficult than the buttons on the V3. Scorecard function still not ideal, but I am not so bothered by that as I prefer a card in any event. I have not suffered from the problems reported by many users and since I don’t rely on the scoring functions I am very happy with the watch I prefer it to Golfshot on my Apple Watch”

“I was a very satisfied user of the V3 and was really looking forward to the X5 GPS Watch. The watch looks stylish and is a pleasure to wear off the golf course. As with any new product, there were a few initial difficulties with this watch, but Shot Scope works very hard on the product and responds to issues in a very timely manner. I wouldn't want to be without the watch and the shot tracking is very stable. The dashboard is very good and it is fun to analyze the rounds played in more detail. Anyone who is concerned with stroke gains and statistics on their game will love Shot Scope.”

“I would like to give the X5 a better rating as it has improved with recent updates. But it still misses shots and can be pretty much unusable in the rain. Once rounds are uploaded for editing the positioning of shots taken is questionable which puts a question mark over all the other performance stats.”

“On my rounds I normally have to edit 10-15 shots. Some are my fault I’m sure but I need to keep a separate scorecard to keep my shots for editing. The support crew are very helpful but still I need to edit way too much.”

“I bought the X5 soon after launch, as was already a V3 owner. A few issues at the beginning, but since a couple of major firmware updates, the X5 is more reliable and stable now. The added features are a big improvement to the original setup. My only issue at the moment is the charging lead, the plug/socket arrangement on the back of the watch is a little temperamental, not a positive connection. Thought they could have a better connector.”
